Tour de Tinnie - May 2024

Tour de Tinnie - May 2024

This Tour de Tinnie box showcases some weird & wild collabs. From a beer in collaboration with Budgy Smuggler swimwear through to an OG West Coast IPA classic by Hop Hen & yours truly.

What's in the box:

2x | Nomad x Budgy Smuggler • Budgy Smuggler

Pale Ale | 5.0% | Brookvale, NSW

We’ve seen some interesting collaborations over the years (see Heaps Normal’s collab with Who Gives A Crap?) but Nomad is the king of the collab, with names like Iron Maiden, Darrell Lea, and now Budgy Smuggler getting involved with the Sydney based brewery. Expect lots of tropical notes on this one, perfect for lounging on the beach in your Budgy Smugglers!

2x | Mog Brew • Country Lager

Helles Lager | 4.5% | Moglonemby, VIC

This helles (German for ‘bright’) lager is the perfect smashable beer for any occasion. Brewed with traditional hops, it has a great biscuity backbone with a subtle herbal flavour.

2x | Love Shack • Brown Ale

English Brown Ale | 5.2% | Castlemaine, VIC

An all time favourite here at Carwyn Cellars, this English style brown ale is filled with big notes of chocolate and dark fruits. Perfect for drinking as the weather is cooling off, enjoy in front of a hearty fire!

2x | Mountain Culture • Status Quo

New England Pale Ale | 5.2% | Katoomba, NSW

One of the most acclaimed beers in the world of Aussie craft beer. Massive hop additions and a beautiful hazy body, this beer is Mountain Culture to a tee. Smash or savour, your choice!

2x | Hop Hen x Carwyn Cellars • Free Range

West Coast IPA | 7.2% | Lilydale x Thornbury, VIC

Recently, we had the privilege of heading out to Lilydale for a day with the team at Hop Hen. The result of a day of hard work (and product sampling) is this old school West Coast IPA. Brewed for the days of yesteryear, we think it’s a great homage to IPAs of the 90s.

1x | Deeds x Off Trail • MOMO

Peach Tart Blonde | 6.0% | Five Docks, NSW

A collaboration between local brewing legends Deeds, and Off Trail from just outside Tokyo in Japan, this is very reminiscent of peaches and cream. It has a subtle, pleasant tartness to it without being overpowering.

1x | The Zythologist • Black Vice

Black Coffee IPA | 7.2% | Clayton, VIC

Brewed as a base dark ale with very low bitterness, this black IPA then had additions of Cascade and Citra to create a tropical storm of hops. The addition of coffee produces a unique earthiness, with some more volatile flavours in the coffee accentuated by the hops.
