The One - March 2025

What's in the box:

Future Brewing • Future Island

Triple Dry Hopped Hazy IPA | 7.0% | St Peters, NSW Australia

Future Brewing are no stranger to absolutely loading brews with monstrous levels of hops, so this release, being their hoppiest IPA to date, should have you quivering with fear and/or excitement. Made Hazy AF using their own house hazy strain, and triple dry hopped with Motueka, Galaxy & Nelson, expect a ripe, tropical assault on the senses. It really is mastery to brew a beer with this many hops (and be this fresh) yet have such a smooth texture with almost zero bitterness and astringency. Just joose!

Deeds • Desperate Invocation 2022

Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout w/ Vanilla & Coconut | 14.9% | Glen Iris, VIC Australia | ⭐

A blend of 16 different barrels before careful conditioning on vanilla beans and toasted coconut. This brew is Deeds’ highest rated beer ever on Untappd – and we can see why! Drinking like a boozy coconut rough with lashes of Freddo frog thrown in for good measure! A delicious warming bourbon and chocolate liqueur rounds the decadent blend out, finishing like a chocolate truffle.

Hawkers • X

Barrel Aged Imperial | 12.4% | Reservoir, VIC Australia | ⭐

It’s been a huge year for Hawkers in 2025, having recently merged with Sydney based lager kings White Bay in the weeks leading up to their 10th birthday. To celebrate the decade that was, they put together a few celebratory brews, including this monster BBA Stout. Find complex vanilla, spice, dried fruit, and coffee characters in its inky depths.

Hawkers • Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine 2016

Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine | 12.5% | Reservoir, VIC Australia | ⭐

To keep the birthday celebrations rolling, we’ve rummaged through Hawkers’ cellar to bring you their second ever barrel aged release! This is truly a piece of Hawkers history, sporting their OG logo and being packaged in bottles. Like a fine (barley)wine, this beer has aged gracefully and is drinking incredibly well. Think sticky date pudding, PX sherry and liquified sultanas – all presenting in a deliciously delicate manner. An absolute treat.

Trillium • Double Apricot Stonington

Barrel Aged American Wild Ale | 6.7% | Canton, MA USA | ⭐

While Trillium are revered for their trailblazing work in developing the New England IPA, their roots are in the world of farmhouse ales. The base ale for this brew was aged for 16 months in French oak ex chardonnay casks before secondary fermentation in stainless on apricots. The result is a super tart brew, with an apricot crumble-esque feel to it. Plenty of underripe apricot and coconut flavours with a drying oak character. Strap yourselves in!

Rodenbach • Vintage 2021

Flanders Red Ale | 7.0% | Roeselare, Belgium

Brewing for more than 200 years, starting in 1821, to say Rodenbach is an institution is an understatement. With many in the Rodenbach family having varied careers outside of brewing beer, the variety of experience they each brought to the craft influenced the brewery in many ways. Their annual vintage ale is a blend of the best 2-year-old barrels they have available, with 2021 having notes sherry and sultanas with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. The brew is unmistakeably Belgian with undertones of toffee apple and spice.

Ghost Brewing • Wicked Wolf

Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine | 13.0% | Copenhagen, Denmark

Hailing from Denmark, Ghost brewing is a contract brewery working with a number of Danish microbreweries. This style has cellared brilliantly, as one would expect. Wicked Wolf was aged in bourbon barrels for one year and has picked up notes of burnt caramel and tobacco with a dry finish from its extended time on oak. There is a decent bitterness that is balanced nicely by the sweet bourbon, giving the impression of a sticky date pudding.

Left Hand • Wake Up Dead

Imperial Stout | 10.2% | Longmont CO, USA

One of the OGs of American craft beer, Left Hand started brewing back in the craft industry’s hay day in 1993. Highly regarded for their dark beers, ‘Wake Up Dead’ is the perfect example of what they can do with a bit of roasted malt. This is a proper example of an amped up American stout, with a solid bitterness and almost savoury body. Plenty of toasty goodness giving rise to notes of aniseed and coffee, leaving the impression of having just scoffed a bag of Cheekies.

Sobremesa • Gogol

Hoppy Brett Ale | 5.2% | Kensington, VIC Australia

A blend of 60% stainless Brett Saison with 40% Brett Saison fermented on oak for 9 months, this brew was then dry hopped with Challenger and Saaz to add an extra layer of complexity. Super spritzy and smashable, there’s a very mild tartness with plenty of peach and nashi pear playing on the palate. The Brett lends to a super dry and moreish finish.

Sobremesa • Real Ale Golden

Golden Ale | 4.6% | Kensington, VIC Australia

While Sobremesa may have mastered all things funky and sour, they now take a dive into the world of ‘clean’ beers, while continuing to keep tradition alive. This brew is their take on the classic English Golden Ale using all Aussie ingredients to produce a brew that could be the love child of Coopers & an old English pub! Fruity yeast esters on the nose, and sweet bready malts all work to make this a fantastic and approachable beer.

Range x Track • Solara

Oat Cream Double IPA | 8.0% | Newstead QLD, Australia x Manchester, England | ⭐

This is not the first time these two lupulin loving breweries have teamed up to produce a hop monster, and this one is the cream of the crop! With a whopping 9 different hop products used in the concoction, this beer is big and thick! Like a Pina Colada for grown-ups, this brew is creamy with plenty of pineapple & tropical fruit notes and a melon pith bitterness to balance it out.

Marlobobo's Megabear • Non-Fossil Fuel

Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout | 14.0% | Sande, Norway | ⭐

Known for their heavily fruited meads, Marlobobo’s beer-related side project ‘Megabear’ pushes into modern craft styles, with Non-Fossil Fuel being their first ever barrel aged stout! Aged between 11 and 22 months in a variety of bourbon barrels, this decadent brew is as syrupy as they come! Like choc-vanilla ice cream drizzled with Wild Turkey, this is what one would imagine Kentucky would taste like if you could eat a state. Plenty of coconut and brownie batter – this will leave you licking the spoon!
