Another The One box, another collection of incredible beers. This box features both Mountain Culture x Bottle Logic x Carwyn Cellars x Forward Hops imperial pastry stout releases. And the collab doesn't stop there - the unicorn beer this month is a super dank double West Coast IPA from Bottle Logic x Radiant.
What's in the box:
Cloudwater • Persistence Is Utile #VI
Imperial Coffee Stout | 11.0% | Manchester, England | ⭐
Founded in 2014 and having brewed their first beers on Valentine’s Day of 2015, Cloudwater have built their name to become one of the most global breweries coming out of Manchester. The sixth edition of their sought after ‘Persistence Is Utile’ is brewed with a combination of Guatemalan coffee beans, tonka beans, vanilla pods and cacao nibs. It has the aroma of a decadent coffee cake, backed by a palate of dark chocolate Woolies mudcake drowned in a shot of rich espresso.
Kees • Barrel Project: Bourbon 2023
Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine | 8.9% | Middelburg, Netherlands | ⭐
Brouwerij Kees was founded in 2015 by Kees Bubberman in his hometown of Middelburg. Kees has broken from what you would traditionally expect of a Dutch brewery and focussed on the more modern style of England and the States. This rich barleywine was aged for 24 months in Heaven Hill barrels, giving it a rich and syrupy body. Plenty of dried fruits provide an experience reminiscent of Christmas pudding with a side of maple syrup.
Maltgarden • Gate Nº1/2023
Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout | 10.5% | Kołobrzeg, Poland | ⭐
Having finished 4th in Ratebeer’s Best New Brewer of 2019, Maltgarden finally made their way to Australia for the first time in 2021. Focussing on modern hoppy IPAs, fruited sours, and big stouts, they have fast become one of our favourite breweries hailing from Poland. The bourbon barrel aged 4th anniversary stout was aged for 25 months in Heaven Hill barrels before lactose was added to boost some of the more subtle characters provided by the oak. Sweet, syrupy and unctuous, this brew coats the glass and drinks like a dark chocolate mocha.
Tired Hands • Ourison
Oak Fermented Saison | 4.8% | Ardmore PA, USA | ⭐
Following the official Aussie launch of Tired Hands here in our taproom, we’ve brought Pennsylvania’s finest to the One. ‘Ourison’ is Tired Hands’ original saison (SaisonHands) left on oak for several months before a lengthy period in can for conditioning. There’s a good amount of acidity coming through on a bready body. Plenty of barnyard hay and rosemary provides some of the more savoury notes. A very moreish brew you won’t be able to put down!
Vault City • Blackcurrant Kir Royale
Fruited Imperial Sour | 8.0% | Edinburgh, Scotland | ⭐

WeldWerks • Coffee Peanut Butter Vanilla
Imperial Pastry Stout | 9.0% | Greeley CO, USA | ⭐
WeldWerks have made their way back to Aussie shores! With their top 27 highest rated beers on Untappd being big stouts, you know you’re in for a treat with this one! Brewed with Guatemalan coffee beans, peanuts, vanilla, and lactose, this imperial pastry stout has been balanced to perfection. Very reminiscent of Ferrero Roche and Reese’s Pieces but with a surprisingly light body. The malt and coffee provide a deep roasty body for the sweeter honey and Milo milkshake notes to play on.
Radiant • Pilsner Supernova
Pilsner | 4.8% | Anaheim CA, USA
Born during the dark days of 2020, Radiant has become a shining light in the Californian brewing scene. With the founders coming from Bruery royalty, Andrew and Jonas have put together a brand that can brew anything from IPAs to sours to stouts and, more importantly, to lagers. ‘Pilsner Supernova’ has been lagered for nearly twice as long as Radiant’s other bottom-fermented concoctions – being left to its own devices for 11 weeks. The result is an explosion (in the sky) of crispness with a pleasant lingering bitterness.
Banks • Cake Eater: Motueka & Nelson Sauvin
Double Dry Hopped Oat Cream Double IPA | 8.3% | Seaford, VIC | ⭐
One of our favourite IPA producers in the country is back with another highly sought-after Cake Eater release after an apparent trip across the Tasman. Brewed with all NZ hops this time around, it’s tasting fresh AF and as creamy as ever. Big tropical milkshake vibes with papaya shining through and a slight hit of coconut.
Mountain Culture x Bottle Logic x Carwyn Cellars x Forward Hops • Imperial Logic Vol 1 (2024)
Imperial Pastry Stout | 10.5% | Katoomba NSW x Anaheim CA x Thornbury VIC x Perth WA | ⭐
First brewed in 2023 for the finale of Pint of Origin: USA hosted by yours truly. After last year’s reception, Mountain Culture jumped at the opportunity to rebrew this fan-favourite for this year’s Pint of Origin. Boasting the most adjuncts Mountain Culture have ever used in a beer, the brew was laden with a combination of lactose, shaved coconut, cinnamon, and Honduran and Peruvian coffee beans. The result is a thick AF brew reminiscent of melted espresso ice cream. Mounds of coconut and a slight cinnamon heat create some depth with a slightly herbal bitterness rounding out the palate.
Mountain Culture x Bottle Logic x Carwyn Cellars x Forward Hops • Imperial Logic Vol 2
Imperial Pastry Stout | 10.5% | Katoomba NSW x Anaheim CA x Thornbury VIC x Perth WA | ⭐
For Pint of Origin 2024, Mountain Culture once again jumped on the phone with Wes and Stephen from Bottle Logic to find a way to throw more adjuncts than ever into volume 2 of their sought-after pastry bomb. This time the brew had a concoction of Tahitian vanilla beans, a whole pallet of hand-roasted pistachios, and a hint of crème brulee. On first whiff you could be poking your nose over a vat of dark caramel before some of the more nuanced roasty notes become apparent. On the palate there’s a solid roasted bitterness and a mocha-like sweetness. The whole experience is rounded out by an earthy nuttiness that lingers with you.
Rocky Ridge • Riwaka Amped
Triple Dry Hopped West Coast Double IPA | 7.8% | Busselton, WA
‘Riwaka Amped’ is the first of Rocky Ridge’s new Maverick series – created to give the brewers freedom to try anything weird and wacky that they want – and it kicks off with a hit, producing a perfectly balanced DIPA. Underripe flavours of guava and peach are sweetened up a bit by the ABV, with a few notes of pear coming through as well. The brewers have hit a super light body here to really put all the focus on the Riwaka.
Bottle Logic x Radiant • Extrinsic Sights
West Coast Double IPA | 8.0% | Anaheim CA, USA | ⭐
In Forward Hops’ most recent shipping container, we managed to sneak a couple of cases of ‘Extrinsic Sights’ exclusively for you guys! A collaboration between two of Anaheim’s most exciting breweries, this West Coast DIPA is super dank and resinous without going too heavy on the malt profile to really help the hops shine. It has a delicious dehydrated mango fruitiness to really lift the palate and balance the bitterness beautifully.
Bonus Tinnie
Verhaeghe • Duchesse Red
Flanders Red | 7.0% | Anzegem, Belgium | ⭐
Brouwerij Verhaeghe has one of the richest histories in Belgian brewing. With origins dating back to 1885, the brewery has battled many challenges, including the outbreak of two world wars, but has come out continuing to brew Flanders ales that are highly regarded across the globe. ‘Duchess Red’ is a Flanders red ale that was matured in wine barrels for several months before being macerated with cherries. The result is a sweet dessert reminiscent of cherry lollies with some subtle hints of nutmeg and pepper.
