Gin Drop: Noosa Gin - Strawberry

Everything about this gin makes us ready for fun in the sun!

Noosa Gin - Strawberry, Noosa QLD

Having kicked off in 2019, Fortune/Noosa Heads Distillery is relatively young and the first distillery established on the Sunshine Coast and uses one of the largest Copper Pot Reflux Stills in Australia at 2000 litres. They kicked off their playful ‘Noosa’ brand just last year, which currently offers a vodka, dry gin and this delicious strawberry gin, with plenty more fun tipples in the works. The bottles are all hand filled and hand labelled with fantastic by the iconic Jim Mitchell (previous contributor to the renowned and respected Mambo art collective and movement).

About the gin.

Using freshly picked strawberries from local farmers which are then hand cut and macerated in their Navy Strength gin for six weeks after which it was pressed and filtered. Alongside those fresh fresh strawberries, this juicy morsel also uses the familiar juniper, coriander seed, cassia bark lemon, and the not so familiar ginger, black pepper, mustard seed and Sicillian olives.

Expect ripe, jammy flavours balanced out with subtle spice and a clean, smooth finish without any cloying sweetness, ready to quench your thirst all summer. Incredibly enjoyable neat, or give below the summer cocktail a try!
