Tour de Tinnie - April 2023

Tour de Tinnie - April 2023

On this month’s tour, we hold on to the dwindling days of summer with a mango pale ale, while welcoming Autumn with Killer Sprocket’s OG brew. Tradition makes a comeback with an homage to the beers of old Bavaria and that classic Irish golden harp.

What's in the box:

Jetty Road • IPA

India Pale Ale | 5.8% | Dromana, VIC

Starting as a weekend homebrew between friends, now one of the Mornington Peninsula’s premier breweries! This IPA is an amped up version of their fan-fav pale. Big hits of paw paw and caramel sweetness with a rounding bitterness make this beer very easy to drink.

Killer Sprocket • Amber Ale

Amber Ale | 4.8% | Bayswater North, VIC

Launched in 2013, this amber ale recipe has been refined over the past 10 years, resulting in a beautiful dark coloured brew with caramel and spice (and all things nice) – though the use of American hops leaves more tasty bitterness on the palate than most ambers.

Mismatch • Hazy Pale Ale

Hazy Pale Ale | 4.5% | Adelaide Hills, SA

Nestled in the Adelaide Hills, Mismatch’s Hazy Pale is a relaxed version of their award winning Imperial NEIPA and features no fewer than 7 hops varieties; Centennial, Citra, Columbus, Zeus, Supers, Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic!

Venom • Dry Lager

Dry Lager | 4.2% | Yea, VIC

Venom is known for producing a solid line-up of regular appearances like their golden and refreshing ales – this time they’ve given us a take on the classic Aussie dry lager. Good for the waistline with a lower carb content, this brew is low in bitterness and is deadly good!

Wolf of the Willows • MID

Mango Pale Ale | 3.2% | Mordialloc, VIC

Named after Pliny the Elder’s original description of hops: lupus salictarius – wolf among the willows, these brewers are back with a tropical style mid. In Melbourne we’re barely hanging on to those beautiful summer days and this beer has us living in denial as the days get colder.

Stomping Ground • Hallion

Irish Dry Stout | 4.2% | Collingwood, VIC

With St Paddy’s Day passing us for another year, plenty of breweries have had a crack at brewing the famous creamy black liquid from Ireland. This dry nitro stout is perfect for those wanting an Aussie twist on an old Irish classic.

Holgate • Hefe Weisssbier

Hefeweizen | 5.1% | Woodend, VIC

Holgate call this ‘the original hazy’ and they’re not wrong. However, this is no tropical hop-storm like modern NEIPAs and hazies. A take on a classic European style, enjoy big hits of banana bread and cloves with a beautiful, rounded body provided by the wheat in the malt bill.
